The Six-bar Cichlid (also called 6-bar Lamp/Lamprologus) is native to southern Lake Tanganyika in East Africa. There are different colour variants by region (mainly gold, pale yellow, silver or white), that shown being a Gold. They have 6 black bars on the body (excluding the “headphones” between the eyes but including the tail). They grow to 15cm (6 inches) long
